If you are currently considering your career options or changing careers then the Melbourne Reinvent Your Career Expo will help you to move forward by making the right decision.
Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on June 1st and 2nd, the Reinvent Your Career Expo is Melbourne’s largest adult careers and employment event for 2013, and is the only event in its genre aimed intentionally at the adult market.
Nicholas Ricciuti, CEO of Reinvent Your Career, said: “One of the exciting things about this year’s expo is the Construction and Property Services Hub – a large custom built stand with employers, educators and associations, such as the Master Builders Association and the Housing Industry Association, who wish to communicate opportunities in over 500 vocations. Vocations including: building surveyors, builders, security, real estate agents, architects and many more.
Other displays will include ten universities, trade training schools, five major TAFE institutes and Australia’s largest private education colleges.
The expo will offer over six hundred real jobs with employers such as: Worksafe Victoria – CGU, Allianz, QBE, Xchanging, Department of Human Services, Department of Justice, Goodstart Early Learning, Southern Cross Care, Woolworths, Masters, Danks, Transpacific, Villa Maria, Australian Defence Force, Victoria Police, Care Careers and the Glen Eira Council, all seeking workers now.
Mr Ricciuti said the expo would be informative for people already in the workforce looking to change their career, but also represented a fantastic opportunity for adults to gain general career advice.
“The expo is for people looking for second-chance learning or wanting to re-enter the work force … there will be lots of information available,” says Mr Ricciuti.
The Australian Defence Force have sponsored the building of a 150 seat seminar auditorium which offers back-to-back dynamic presentations on everything from how to brand yourself to specific industry insights and where the jobs are.
Speakers talking at different times during the day include Career Guru Helena Steele, who will be talking about moving on from redundancy at 12.15am on the Saturday.
Thanks to their sponsors the Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council, the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) will be at the event offering free career check-ups and express resume checks for people needing advice. The CDAA will also run workshops with topics that will suit all types of needs.
“With recognition of prior learning now available, people heading into training need to make the right decision these days and the expo could also help people pick the best career path for them,” Mr Ricciuti said.
“Career seekers will be able to talk to people and hone their ideas.”
“They will have the chance to discuss the different institutions they can go to, to study or find if studying at home or away is best for them.”
The 2013 Melbourne Reinvent Your Career Expo runs for 2 days from 10am to 4pm. Tickets are available at the door or online at www.reinventyourcareer.com.au.
