Over 1,000 real jobs are confirmed at the Sydney Reinvent Your Career Expo being held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on the 8th and 9th of September from 10am to 4pm.
The Reinvent Your Career Expo is Sydney’s largest adult careers and employment event for 2012, and is the only event in its genre aimed intentionally at the adult market.
This creates a comfortable environment for skilled workers to discuss their needs in detail with potential employers, educators and trainers who understand the diversity of those needs that only adult career seekers have.
Reinvent Your Career Expo founder, Nicholas Ricciuti, explains, “This initiative was built intentionally for adults who may be bored with their current job, are seeking alternative challenges, a lifestyle career change or are re-entering the workforce. We simply connect organisations and people at a time when it’s right for both parties. If knowledge is power then increasing your “VQ” (Vocational Intelligence) will allow attendees to make more astute career decisions. Recognition of prior learning and experience is now being valued in areas of industry that may lead career transitioners into previously non-considered vocations.”
The Sydney Reinvent Your Career Expo is proudly sponsored by MyCareer, Deakin University, Construction & Property Services Industry Skills Council (CPSISC), Defence Force Recruiting, Queensland Police Service and the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA).
The event boasts over 60 exhibitors bringing together Australia’s leading employers, government departments, major educators and trainers with over 1,000 real jobs available over the 2 days.
Major Australian employers such as Aussie Home Loans, Coates Hire, Flight Centre, ATEL – Apprentices Trainees Employment Limited, Australian Concert & Entertainment Security, NSW Taxi Council, Restaurant & Catering Australia, Transpacific Cleanaway, Philip Morris Limited, Paramedical Services Pty Ltd and frmSTAFF & myfreight career will be available to meet job seekers face to face and discuss potential career paths providing a rare opportunity to skip online job applications and get real insight into what jobs are currently available.
Australian Home Care, carecareers and Interrelate Family services will be offering 450 jobs in the aged care, home care and disability services sector, whilst Queensland Police and Defence Force Recruiting have over 500 jobs in the protective and defence arenas.
Australian Volunteers International will have 100 volunteer jobs based nationally and internationally, whereas Jim’s Mowing Sydney and We Sell Fire will bring over 100 franchise and small business opportunities to the expo.
Australia’s top educators such as: Charles Darwin University, Charles Sturt University – Distance Education, International Film School Sydney, Kaplan Australia/Carrick Institute of Education, Navitas Workforce Solutions, RPL GQ Australia, The University of Sydney Business School, Sydney Design School and many others will be at the expo to assist with upgrading and re-skilling.
Free RPL assessments, resume services, dynamic seminars, career counsellors and interactive workshops are key features of the Reinvent Your Career Expo in Sydney.
Don’t miss the first seminar on both days presented by Nicholas Ricciuti, “Increase your ‘VQ’ – Vocational Intelligence” – this seminar will give you hidden insights on career transition and how to decipher the plethora of information available at the expo.
Free career check-ups will be available over the weekend with the Career Development Association of Australia. Allan Gatenby, Director of Programs says, “Your career is one of the big 3 decisions you will make in life. You owe it to yourself to get help from professionals. As a professional association we believe that help should be from an accredited practitioner. That is why our members volunteer their time to provide this service at this premier event.”
